Join us for our second in-person SWRDSC event of 2022. A great opportunity for all members to discover capabilities and talents of the SW.
31st March 2022 | In-person
Location: Defence BattleLab, Dorset Innovation Park, Winfrith, Dorchester DT2 8ZB.
This upcoming in-person SWRDSC event will be a great opportunity for all members to discover the capabilities and talents we have across the region. The event will be one year on from the Defence & Security Industrial Strategy, and just a few weeks on from the publication of the Levelling Up White Paper and the SME Action Plan, in which the SWRDSC was mentioned as a success in creating collaborative pathways for businesses to engage in the defence and security supply chain. It’s a great time to get together in a facility designed for collaboration and innovation.
The event will be hosted in the Defence BattleLab on Thursday 31st March 2022 bringing members into the experimentation space of the military users. There will be opportunities for SMEs and the larger primes to connect, start conversations and discover what they can do for each other, hear what is new in the academic space, meet students and apprentices, demonstrate the capabilities we have in the South west and showcase latest developments, engage with local government & Local Enterprise Partnership. We will be supported by DASA & Dstl, with attendees from MOD responsible for exploiting technology.
There are limited tickets available for members for this event so sign up today to avoid missing out on this event.

Maters of Pie is involved in building out the Digital Bird Table experience as highlighted below. I am interested to understand how we are able to apply our data-agnostic XR solution to drive further innovation.
Masters of Pie Background;
The market-proven data-agnostic XR collaboration solution developed by Masters of Pie is ideal for Defence applications as it integrates at the data source and complements existing processes. As highlighted below, the same software framework may be applied and customized to deliver a broad range of applications for maintenance, logistics, healthcare, engineering, training, product design, intelligence and planning.
Defence Sector – British Army:
The Digital Bird Table solution as part of project Hydra aims to replace the use of physical maps and the project is about collating multiple real-time data feeds to process and present this information to enable the Command Centres to make better and more timely decisions. The Radical software has been integrated directly into SAP HANA to access multiple intelligence data sources and ESRI for mapping tiles and layers. The Radical collaboration server pulls the Digital Bird Table experience together synchronising Hololens and touch screen users.
