This event will look at the Fit4Defence series and will take place at the world famous Defence BattleLab in Dorset Innovation Park, and is a joint event with MakeUK. This new facility is home to end-users from different trades and specialisations across Defence; people placed to help collaborators navigate the MoD and make engagement more accessible.
Fit4Defence events are aimed at companies who are new to defence or who are looking to expand their reach in this sector However, any member is welcome to come along and it’s a great opportunity to network with your fellow members.
There will be sessions from Steve Hill of Make UK Defence on ‘An Introduction to the Defence Sector’, detailing how procurement works, how to source opportunities and what requirements customers will have. Simon Jones from information security specialists will present on the different security protocols such as Cyber Essentials that are must haves in the defence sector. And there will be presentations from prime contractors in defence discussing how to become a supplier to them, and what their requirements will be.
